Soccer is the most amazing sport in the world. Not just because I play it, but its just awsome. Soccer is the most played sport around the world. The best tournament in soccer would have to be the World Cup.
The FIFA World Cup is an international association football competition by the men's national teams. The championship has been awarded every four years since the first tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946, due to World War II. The tournament has two parts, the qualification phase and the final phase. The qualification phase takes three years untill the Finals. All teams must qualify for the finals.The Finals involve 32 teams competing for the title.
The World Cup Finals is the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world. In the eighteen tournaments held, only seven nations have won the title. Brazil is the most successful World Cup team, having won the tournament five times. The last World Cup Finals were held in Germany. Italy were the champions after beating France in the final on penalty kicks. It was an amazing game. The next World Cup Finals will be held in South Africa, from June 11, 2010 to July 11, 2010, and the 2014 Finals will be held in Brazil.
